Donate effectively
You can make a difference through your job, but also by donating to effective organisations – e.g. via our partner Effektiv Spenden. There, you can also select us, Effektiver Altruismus Deutschland e.V., as the recipient – your donation will help us cover the costs of our services.
Take the 10% pledge
As an official partner, we work with Giving What We Can to encourage people to donate a portion of their income to particularly effective organisations – e.g. with the 🔸10% Pledge or the 🔹Trial Pledge.

EAGxBerlin

Intro Program
Our introductory programme takes place twice a year, in collaboration with the Centre for Effective Altruism. In this free 8-week course, you will learn about the most important ideas of Effective Altruism.

Browse our German-language collection of selected articles, podcasts and videos on topics related to Effective Altruism, such as global health, animal welfare, climate protection, pandemic prevention and AI safety.

Support for local groups
For local group leaders, we offer:
● monthly calls with community builders from across Europe
● infrastructure with email address and Google Workspace

Volunteer Programme
Explore different volunteering opportunities that match your skills and interests – e.g. as a community builder in a local group or facilitator for the next Intro Program.
Effective Altruism Berlin
We support the largest German local group in Berlin in particular. As an official project partner, we are responsible for the strategic direction of the group. Find out more about their events and offers here:
5) Get operational support
Please contact us at least one month in advance for requests for operational support; to do so, please contact info@effektiveraltruismus.de. Please send enquiries about the Employer of Record service to personal@ealokal.de.
The decision on whether to accept a new project is based on our capacity and the project’s alignment with our overall objectives.
Employment of grantees
We employ individuals with an EA grant who have a valid work permit and meet all local regulations (‘Employer of Record for Grantees’). We support you in recording expenses and budgeting grants.

Grant administration for local groups
We handle the processing and acceptance of grants for EA local groups (‘fiscal sponsorship’). We support you in monitoring expenses and budgeting grant expenditures.
Liability insurance for events
We offer event liability insurance for EA retreats organised by you (you can find instructions here).
